Hear we are at the beginning of yet another month, not a lot of change from the last one really, the wind is still blowing hard stopping me from getting out and having to cancel trips. Things can only start to get better from here on!!!

Well I managed to get out for a spruce up, the weather gods were kind to me as I just happened to be out when we had perfect weather, and it allowed me to get a full paint job done. My thanks to Eddie, Dave, Pinky, and Steve for their time, it made the job so much easier, thanks lads.

Thanks for the suggestion Steve, that I get the anglers to take their weights off once they have wound their lines in, to avoid weights banging on the side of the newly painted hull, and therefore risk loosing them if the skipper, or crewman cuts them off.

Whilst I was out I had the five year survey done, and apart from a couple of things “Becky M” came through it with flying colours.

On our last trip we managed to find a few painted rays, pout, the inevitable dogfish, and conger. There were some blonde rays around, but we didn’t contact them.

I let “Big John” from the Greenman borrow one of the new Fladden multi tip rods that I got through the other day, and he put it through its paces, and liked it that much that he persuaded me to part with it, so I must get another one now.

Well that’s about it for now, I am hoping to get out next Thursday, and I might just try and see if there are any plaice about, you never know.
